Not all kids are beginners. The Dino is a true high performance sail, in sizes as low as 2m. The breakthrough came with our development of the super-light and highly responsive Carbon 60 Dino mast. This was not only much lighter than anything previously available, but it was far softer, so that it had the scaled down dynamics of a full size performance mast. This allowed us to cut a sail that reacts in exactly the same way as a full size sail. 30 knots of planing performance can now be a reality for kids with the required level of skill. However, the Dino is not solely the preserve of highly skilled youngsters. Its light weight and balanced feel also makes it perfect for novice kids even for their first attempt. However, these days our youngsters don't stay novices for long, so avoiding cheaper options and investing in a Dino could well prove to be a winning move. It may be smaller, but the Dino is built to the same high standard and has all the same features as the full size Tushingham collection. A family heirloom!
